The Adventure Begins
So, does the car look any different? No? Good! Probably means nothing is broken. Daily inspection complete.
The plan for last night and this morning was: 6pm - Install radiator mount bushings, check front suspension and give the car a final FINAL once-over, pack all the tools and equipment, get to bed by 11pm and hit the road at 6am.
That was the plan. As plans go, it was a good one, and we really didn't stray TOO far from it, though we did start 2.5 hour later than planned. In reality, it went a little more like this: 7:30pm - do the car maintenance and pack. 9:30-10:45 stand around the garage and try to remember what we forgot. 11:00pm-2:00am - forget about sleeping because you're just too wired. 7:15am - Get out of bed, shower and pack clothes (yeah, we could have done that last week, but where's the fun in that?), gather up the computer equipment, finish packing the car, say goodbye to the wife, spend another 10 minutes pondering what we forgot, Photo Op... and finally hit the road about 8:30.
Hey, did I mention that Jeff picked up a Cingular wireless card for the computer? What does that mean to you? It means you get to read MUCH more of our babble from the road because we're not limited to typing on a phone keypad.
Today's goal: Indianapolis! Should get there sometime after 11:00pm.
